Announcing the 2023-2024 Emerging Leaders Community Interns

The Emerging Leaders Community is excited to announce 3 Interns for the 2023-2024 training year! These trainees will serve as visible ambassadors to the broader AUCD network, interacting with AUCD staff at all levels and the AUCD Board of Directors' Emerging Leaders Representative.

AUCD Emerging Leaders Interns, Training and Outreach

Blake Warner

Blake is a Doctoral Candidate in Psychology with a dual specialization in clinical and disaster psychology at the University of South Dakota. He has previously completed two years of SD LEND and is currently serving as a UCEDD trainee and completing a predoctoral internship at the UCLA Tarjan Center. He is passionate about creating opportunities for self-advocates, connecting with trainees across the network, and LGBTQIA+ mental health advocacy.

Connie Mathis

Connie is a Registered Nurse and 3rd year Doctor of Nursing Practice candidate with a focus in Executive Leadership at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center. She is a 2nd-year advanced trainee in OK LEND. She is passionate about equity and inclusion of people with disabilities in healthcare."

 

AUCD LEND Audiology Intern, Technical Assistance and Engagement

Jennifer Arnoult

Jennifer is a 4th year Audiology Doctoral student at Louisiana State University Health Science Center. She is enrolled in the GA LEND program and is completing an externship at the University of Georgia's Speech and Hearing Clinic. She is passionate about early intervention and bringing quality audiological services to her hometown.
